What was your major while here at Taylor?

Ok…I have not had time to read what you wrote, but will definitely read and ruminate on it tomorrow. For now, one question: what camera are you using these days?

josh, i spent most of my time down at randall…environmental biology was my thang.

pamela, i’m using my old, beat-up, 3.2megapixel, point-and-shoot olympus c-740. it has probably been through too many dust storms and knocks and bruises to still be performing, but it hasn’t given out yet. i need to upgrade soon. it has fit my needs, though. but only being 3.2megapixels means i’m rather limited in blowing up photos much more than 6×8. however, when i got it (when i was in the bush fulltime), my requirements for a camera was small enough not to draw too much attention, good zoom (this one’s 10x optical, which brings it to around a 300mm equiv), and that it would run on AA batteries (because when there is not power outlet to charge, you can always find these batteries in any market place).

Great photos, Huck Finn. We’re all looking forward to seeing the rest of them. You seem to do more with a cheap little camera than most others do with a more expensive model.

yes…being able to take good pictures has nothing to do with the camera–being able to enlarge them however, can be slightly hampered by the camera. i will be in the market shortly with a camera of basically the exact description you have above, so was curious what you are using. i love my dslr, but it can be a pain to lug around and is DEFINITELY draws attention when in a crowd. anyway…happy picture taking.
